Sweet necklace

Candy necklaces and bracelets sure are sweet accessories. Boo got a set as a party favor a few weeks ago and I told her she could only have a few pieces (I would've given her more the next day but she forgot about them - thankfully). That's no fun, she said, because she wanted to ingest it all, but she had an idea for something better. She suggested we buy sweet and colorful cereal and string them into a necklace. What a great idea, I thought, so off to the store we went. I strung crochet thread onto a plastic embroidery needle I picked up at Joann's and handed it over to Boo along with a bowl of Cascadian Farm Fruitful O's so she could string it herself. We'd never had the cereal but it was somewhat healthy with the right shape and was colorful enough to substitute candy. We only did it the one time and the forgotten full box sits in the pantry. This would be a fun activity to do when she has a friend over for a play date - I'll have to remember that. Ooh, we'll have to make a couple for Friday because we are going to a festival with her little friend. How fun it'll be for them to wear their snack! Would be a fun activity to do at a birthday party, too.
